"Bright Ruby-red. Dark berries, graphite and nutty oak on the very ripe nose, with a distinctive peppery lift. The palate offers an almost exotic sweetness to the lush, seamless flavors of macerated dark fruits, mocha and dark chocolate. Not the last word in complexity but pliant, generous and full in the mouth, finishing with lush tannins and an almost exotic liqueur-like quality. This is drinkable already."

BIGGEST FAN: Daryl
STATS: 2007 Mendoza, Argentina Aging: 9 months in 50% 1-year French and 50% 1-year American barriques.
"This Malbec is a beautiful red, almost purple in the glass. The dynamic aromatics are a blend of freshly crushed red and black cherries and a nice whiff of toasty oak—just enough to frame the exuberant fruit. On the attack, the flavors of cherries and spice stand out and the jammy fruit is buoyantly rich on the mid-palate, with silken notes of spice that ride out on the elegant finish."

"Sharp and intense crimson red colour, evolving to black into the glass. Distinct fresh plum aromas typical of this grape combined with spicy notes like rosemary and eucalyptus hints. Exuberant blueberry and plum flavors to taste. Mouthfilling with a mint and spicy character full of tarragon and rosemary."
